So I've been thinking about my blog for sometime now and have decided its just going to reflect who I am or what I do. I don't some big idea or goal like cooking my way thought Julia Child's cookbook or updating my friends and family on my worldly travels. I'll just tell you about crafts I'm working on, food I'm experimenting with, and how school is going. So, to all of you out there on the internet, welcome to the life of Sara Rose!
Today I'm just having a lazy day. I'm sitting in the living room of my parents house with my dad. He's dozing and watching the Falcons Vs Giants playoff game. We don't really care who wins, because Green Bay will beat them anyway! Despite my lazy day, I do need to study some tonight. We have a cardio test in my Assessment and Pathophysiology class on tuesday morning. I thought nursing school would be fairly easy when I was in high school. I never had trouble keeping my grades up before. Also, I know this is mean and stereotypical, but there are a lot of nurses that I see and think how in the Hell did you get a nursing license??
It's like they have no common sense. However, nursing school is much harder than you would think. to make matters worse, you have to get 78% to pass. The grading scale is a lot harder than regular classes at my college. None the less, I am managing to make it though my second year so far. I need to pass every single test though which is harder than it sounds. Studying is the only way and that is what I'll do! Right now I'm studying for PN Boards as well as for class tests. I will take boards on 1/27/12 and then if (and when!) I pass I will get my nursing license and be able to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). This is a picture of me (the blonde) and my friend Tonni on the day of our LPN pinning, which is like nursing graduation.
